Singer 403a sewing machine cleaned and serviced Exc Cond w/Access SN NB943195

This Singer 403a Sewing Machine has been cleaned inside and out, serviced, and fully lubricated, motor has been rebuilt. It's in excellent condition and sews beautifully.

The machine is in excellent condition.. There are a small chip on the hand wheel. Defects are pictured. Includes all accessories shown, cord, pedal,, pack of 10 needles, 6 bobbins.

This machine also includes a handmade wooden base made by a local craftsman. The base is made of solid oak with walnut accents and features a side storage compartment with cover. There is a hole in the back of the base to route the cord for the pedal.

Serial number is NB943195, built in the late 1950s/early 1960s.

The 400 series were some of the last all metal machines they built. With a little care, this machine will still be running in another 60 years.

- All parts not removed are cleaned and degreased, lint and debris are blown out with air
- Brass plates removed and polished
- Stitch selector plate

- Logo and model are polished in place
- Tension assembly is removed, disassembled and cleaned
- Foot pedal is disassembled and cleaned
- Case is detailed using mild cleaner
- Painted parts are cleaned with a mild cleaner
- Bobbin winder arm
- Handwheel
- LED light bulb installed
- Bobbin winder tire replaced if necessary
- Bed cushions are replaced if necessary (rubber feet)
- Machine is reassembled, lubricated, adjusted and tested
- Needle bar height
- Hook timing
- Cam timing

Machines are shipped in formed foam packaging. This machine will ship in 2 boxes - one with the machine and accessories, the other containing the wood base.
